To Coconut Islaaaand

Woke up late today after watching the SA I Have A Dream musical last night with Laksh. It was awesome! I was really impressed. The orchestra especially, they blew me away. And the show was fun! I love the characters. Sad thing was that Laksh and I were the only ones from the 2008 batch. Gosh. Represent! Haha. Talked to some of the teachers, mainly Pn. Mary, Pn. Chua and Pn. Chris ... also bumped into a few juniors. Wanted to hang around and find people, but the musical ended late and I had to go. Hari K, Hari K. Can't wait to see everyone again.

Anyhoo, woke up late after a really weird dream about ice-skating. Which had lanes like bowling. And something about ordering food and waiting around 2 hours for it. My dream self was very pissed off and hungry. WTF. Haha. Woke up, dragged myself out of bed an hour later than usual (9.30. Yes I am a weirdo who gets up at 8.30 on a usual basis) and slouched off to feed Peach The Biting Fish.

Then I saw a box on my study table.

So I shuffle over there, with my hair sticking all over the place and your average morning expression on my face, to see a box.

This was in it.

Just imagine that the middle button bit is pink.

First thought: When the heck did this worm onto my desk??
Second thought: BLOODY HELL IT'S A FREAKING PHONE.
Third thought: *opens box* If it isn't a phone then I can laugh it off 'cause Peach is the only to know I was excited about this.
Fourth thought: OMG IT REALLY IS A PHONE. IT'S SO PRETTY. D:

I love it. I love it sooooo much. I love it THIS MUCH. *stretches arms to eternity*

Thank you Mama and Papa! You guys are awesome. :D

It's so pretty.
*sobs quietly*

Time moves on

Despite all the weirdness surrounding him ...
Michael Jackson was a brilliant artist.
R.I.P.

In other news.
I've climbed out of the hole.
In conclusion...
Time needed to get over somebody (despite the fact that there was never any knowledge of this issue on the other party's side): 2 weeks. One week of wallowing in emo self-pity and one week of chilling.
Now, I'm just going to enjoy not being hung up over anybody.
Ahhhh feels goooood.
Give me a few weeks and I'll miss the crushing feeling. HAHA.

Love thyself

I dunno all the numbers and details.
But I think it went alright. :)
Spent the morning in Mr. C's class. The usual classroom was locked, so we went to another one in the B1 block. After that went to see how everyone was setting stuff up. Didn't seem to be a lot that needed doing so I ... spaced out. Haha.

Followed Fira and Jovenne to spread the love-hugging. They did the hugging, I did the flyer-ing. After a solid time walking around, went back to LT1 and listened to the boys jamming away. Got a little too comfortable I think. Haha. Just sat there listening to everyone singing for a while before dragging Hamizah over to join in the festivities. The rest of the day consisted of singing along, chatting with Hamizah and finishing up the IHC presentation shooting, finally.

Oh, here's a little something that floats with the theme. :)
How To Love Yourself

Anyway. In conjunction with the whole Love Thyself theme of Today, I have decided to show myself some Love.
Which is pretty much why I smell like a healthy portion of a Body Shop store right now. *sniffsniff* Gosh, I love Body Shop sale season. Guuuh.
Part of my Loving Myself promise was also to do some emotional cleansing, i.e. forgetting about crushing and being satisfied with my singlingness.
Four hours passed.
HAHAHHA.
It did not work.
I still feel the same way.
Blast you Cupid. If you poke me with one of your stupid arrows making me fall trip for someone, can't you at least shoot the dude in the ass as well?

Winner

Saw this on Deviantart today:

If you sometimes feel a little useless, offended or depressed... Always remember that YOU were once the fastest and most victorious little sperm out of millions.

And it actually lifted my spirits!

Let's play Snake

Went to the main campus today.
Had fun with the exercise equipment. I kicked the punching bag like a freakin' amateur, forgot how you're supposed to angle your foot. So now the inside of my toenail is bleeding.
No photo of that, because dude, why you wanna see that for. D:

OMG TWO FIRAS THE HORROR. :P

And Sandy brought a snake!!
I am not kidding. Living, breathing, slithering snake. xD All the boys ran away (sissieeeesss :p). Except for one.

Kent at least didn't leave the room. xD

One last thing before I end this post.
DRAMADRAMADRAMA.
My life is an interesting place to be right now.
I think my emo session is coming to a close. I feel ... free-er?
I just wanna thank everyone. From college, who was there today who bought bubble tea (!!) and made me laugh and sing and dance. I know it probably didn't look like much, but it meant a lot to me.
Thank you.

Illness

I'm sick of playing sidelines.

I've been doing this all my life, and I'm sick of it.

I'm sick of being ... there. But not.

And of talking to things that act like walls. That don't talk back.

I'm sick of people looking for me for the wrong reasons.

I'm sick of being blur.

And asking too many questions.

I'm sick of reading people the wrong way.

I'm sick of people who don't think.

Oh, and also too-hot days. And nosebleeds.

And I'm annoyed that in just an hour, I'll be back to my normal self.

And I'll let people step all over me all over again.

*starts countdown to happiness*

Koala this

Me: So what are you going to name the koala?
Fira: Joe! Hahaha. No lah.
*pause*
Fira: But it does kinda look like him.
Me and Jovenne: Yes kinda. xD

So now the koala's name is Joe. Haha.
Oh and just for the record Joe is Fira's boyf.

Here's something I drew just after I finished the Kookapenguins story. I just found this amazing way of inking on GIMP2 and I couldn't resist attempting a full-length group drawing. I am on a roll! Being emo does things to your creative juices. I've even written a song and figured a tune out for it on the piano. I feel so ... accomplished. Hahah. Still a wee bit emo. But accomplished.

What a feeling.

Anyway, a little bit of explaination. During NS, Yen and I had a little brainstorm about a little soap opera with y'know, people our age. Local people. We came up with overdramatic plots and everything. We called it The Breakfast Drama. Of course now Yen's always busy and I've got college to think of. But I still toyed with the idea. I tweaked a lot of stuff, re-vamped characters and plotlines. So here're the three main characters to Afterparty (yes, I changed the name).

From left to right, Zatie, Faris and Sharif.
Don't ask about their poses, come up with whatever background story you like. I just thought it would be fun to draw it that way.

Pick up

Firstly,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE S. and EUNICE!
:D

I bought a few books in Australia.
One of it is called The Breakup Book: A Girl's Guide To Putting The Pieces Back Together by Diane Mastromario.
Sure, I don't have anyone to breakup with to begin with.
But it was too cute not to buy.

"Just believe in yourself and send messages out to The Universe and The Universe will send you a person who's even better than the last one!"
- Mama

Just because you don't have a significant other doesn't mean you don't have pieces to put back together, right? ;)

To all those gals (and guys) who're feeling down and out.
YOU CAN DO BETTER.

Kookapenguins

This is a little story.
A little something Hanna's 7 year old mind cooked up while we were in Brisbane. She was playing with the two plush toys I bought. It was so cute, I had to draw it all out. :D
My personal favourite is page number 9.

Tell me what you think! :D

To sleep or not to sleep

Fighting jet-lag.
I know I'm supposed to rest, but heck, I'm stubborn. :p
Australia was awesome!
Update soon.
In the future.
Coming right up.

*yawwwwwnnn*

Ps. Why the heck is Restaurant City not loading?
Currsesss. D:

Shipment of live animals?

I'm headed for Australia tomorrow!
:)
Asked a few people what they wanted me to bring back for them.
Here's my shopping list:

You know who you are. ;)

See you guys in a week!

Random promises:
Nad - YES WE'LL GO OUT WHEN I GET BACK. :D
Sophie - Come back quick, lepaking around won't be the same without you. :3
Jovenne & Michelle S. - I'll see when I can get some cupcakes out. :p
Yen & Nigel - I owe you guys belanja makan. xD Hahaha.

The Word Shaker

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
I just spent fifteen minutes crying my eyes out as I finished the last couple of chapters of this book.
Seriously.
I've never cried so hard over a book before. I mean, I squeezed out a tear for A Walk To Remember and my eyes get misty over many other books but I had tears pouring down my face with this one.

So yeah. Pretty obvious that this isn't a book you want to read if you're feeling a little suicidal.

The story is narrated by Death and tells the story of Liesel Meminger, who is sent to live with foster parents during the time of Nazi Germany. She has to adjust to her new environment. She learns how to read from her foster father Hans Hubermann and that is how Death comes to know of her srtoy; she wrote it all down. I don't want to give an in-depth summary because I guess it's better to read it yourself.

I think I'll re-read it to see if I can pick up anything I missed the first time around. But not right now, I think I should look for something ridiculously cheerful. Or at least not so tragic. Hmmm.

Ratbuster

Pebbles jumped into my window last night with a dead mouse.

We all agreed that it was indeed very cute even in death. :/

Poor little thing. Pebbles seemed pretty damn proud though. xD

-Mira and I were lepaking around OU-
Me: *looking into shop window* Gosh, why do the mannequins look so depressed.
Mira: Because they don't have eyebrows.
