Everything in moderation

Presenting the cast of Virtue & Sin.
:)
This was freaking awesome fun guys. Seriously. I know I blow up a little with every drama presentation I make but that amazing feeling I get at the end of every performance ... it's indescribable. Everything from the brainstorming process to presenting always gives me a rush. I want to do more of this creative stuff. It gives me such a high.
Thanks to my virtuous group members. :p Aishah, Jov, Fyra, Sharine, Sammie, Nick. Humility, Kindness, Charity, Temperance, Chastity, Diligence. You guys rock.

Oh and here's a little taste of my most listened to music of the moment.

This is our last goodnight / Say what you will / Say all that you can / This is our last goodbye / This is where love ends

What? I'm not emo. I just freaking love this thing.

Through the tunnel

Saw this on PostSecret today!
Call it silly but I'm so happy to know that somebody else in the world does this too.
<3
Life is being interesting, by the way.
Wouldn't have it any other way.
I wonder if my tunnel wishes will come true this year?

J&S

Took a chance and tried something a little different for our CRR assignment.
Personally, I think it was a success.
We got the reaction we were aiming for. :)
Thanks Sha, Sharine, Jov, Kent, Sammie and Fyra!
I'm proud of you guys.

Battle cry

You want a fight then?
Well bring it on! We know who's in the right! We know who was first in the game!
Last one in is a rotten egg.

I declare we charge into battle. Ready your weapons.
You asked for it.

Sneaky ninja

So today was interesting.
Got an inspirational talk in the morning.
Round two of ... CRR practice after that.
Had CCS tutorial ...
Spaghetti for lunch thanks to Fyra. :)
A very eventful EC tutorial.
Saw some sneaky ninja action.
Performed some not so sneaky running across a roof (!).
Got stuck.
Parkour!Fail.

Got home and ... I honestly don't know what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. What's the right thing to do? Do I do what I want to do or what I should do so that other people don't feel bad?

I'm having issues with being myself at the moment.

Why is the world so damn ambiguous?

Long short week

This little guy has replaced Russel on the dashboard of my car.
Mira gave him to me for my birthday. :)
Sammie has named him Tigermouse.
He dances sometimes. Other times it's like he hates me or something. Ah well.
To Russel, the very first ... ornament I ever got for my car (The Mouse).
RIP Russel. You were a pretty lame flower who didn't dance quite enough.
But you were my first. Ilu 4eva bby <3

Went exploring when it was raining heavily at Lakeside the other day.
Found some cows!
How exciting. The novelty wears off the moment I catch a whiff of the manure though. Urgh.

So, been at Lakeside for a week now.
Can't say I'm ecstatic ... there is so much improvement needed.
They say that it's all coming, so I'm waiting and I'm hoping. Give them a chance for a bit longer.
(Parking and jam and cafeteria crowd and blargh.)

Flood in the library on the same rainy day.
A pipe burst and water started pouring everywhere. Every time the cap got replaced, it would burst back open a while later. Happened three times while I was there. I loved people's reactions to it though. One guy ran over and fixed the cap once. Another guy saw the commotion and started calling to his friend, "Take my camera take my camera!" It was so funny.

Have some pictures of Zed and Spyro.
Just because.
:)

No swimming

Started at a magical new campus today!
Filled with zombie cows and krakens and unicorns and mermaids and-
Oh wait, that was my old assumption.
Oops. :p
Anyway started the day with a long drive. Jam, baby.

View from the carpark. I call it the Big Carpark.
I call the other carpark the Cowfield. Last time I came here, there were cows there but now there are just cars. We heard a cow mooing in the distance while walking to the buildings. So nice, the cow welcoming us! :D

We heard about the packed cafeteria and overpriced food.
So Sha made some baguettes for our lunch!
Thanks Sha. <3
We sat at the amphitheater and people-watched while chowing down.

The magical Lake!
No fishing.
Jov is sad.

So yeah, Day One.
We were like schoolkids on first day of school. I was more of a tourist with my camera (I have named it Perry, like the Platypus).
Looking forward to moar awesome timez.

April watch

Starting a monthly movie dump. :)

When In Rome
Watched this with Sha, Sammie, Fyra and Joe.
The basic premise is that a workaholic girl scoops up some coins from that wishing fountain place (can't remember the name sorry) where people wish for love and ends up being hounded by a pack of males who have suddenly fallen in love with her. She has to decide whether or not the one she really loves is reciprocating because of his coin in the fountain or genuine love for her.
Overall, I have to say that it was very bleh.
Plot was mildly entertaining but so many things were rushed through. Subplots and the like. Also, some stuff was just so unnecesary and it was obvious they were setting things up for cheap laughs. The beginning of the movie made me cringe with shame - the editting needs a lot of work, they kept cutting away at strange moments and the extras' acting left much to be desired. The only thing I liked about the whole thing was watching Josh Duhamel (he's nice to look at) make a klutz of himself. It helps that Kirsten Bell is nice to watch too, but her character was so bland. Couldn't connect with her, and I hate her friends. I want to slap them all. Haha.
Watch it if you're bored. Really really bored and there's nothing else to watch or do.

Kick-Ass
Watched this with Nad, Hannah and Aidil.
Superhero parody with a twist. Dave is your average, nerdy highschool boy with a comic book obsession. He decides to don a costume ... well, just because he can. After he's filmed during a fight with a bunch of thugs and his name is spread across the Interwebs, his fame skyrockets and some other 'heroes' start to sprout up, and that's when the plot starts to hit rollercoaster.
This movie. Is violent. Very violent.
I was a wuss and watched most of it from behind my fingers.
I enjoyed this one mostly because it's so deliciously badass. Dave is adorable and naive, running through the night with his sticks and hitting people, hoping they will behave. Of course, he soon gets himself into deep trouble, getting caught up with the mafia and a few vengeful vigilantes. Helps that he's pretty. The acting was fun, from Dave to the mindblowing Hitgirl (she will blow your mind. And make parents faint.). The action sequences are insane, and towards the end you'll have to suspend disbelief a little. The comedy is dark in some points, slapstick in others. There're some nice comic cliche references that made me smile.
Watch if you don't mind the gore. And if you're particularly fond of superhero movies. :)

How to Train Your Dragon
Watched this with Nad.
I walked into this one without that much on the expectation side. I'd seen lots of positive response around Deviantart, so I thought I'd give it a shot. In a land of Vikings (Berk) Hiccup is the odd one out, stringy and unathletic. Basically, not much of a Viking. He dreams of killing a dragon and impressing his father. Instead, he ends up friends with one (Toothless).
What can I say? I love this movie. I lovelovelovelovelove it.
Sounds like your typical kid's movie right? Yeah it sure does. But it isn't all that typical. You have to watch it to understand ... everything is so gorgeous, the animation, the SOUNDTRACK (swoons) , the ENDING. I teared up at the end. Toothless is the most adorable dragon I've ever seen in my life, he reminds me of Zed. Yes, Zed the kitten. Half the time I was squeaking to myself and wanting to give the thing a huge hug. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was how all the younger generation Vikings had American accents while their parents were sporting Scottish. What's up with that? Is acquiring a Scottish accent part of becoming an adult or something? Argh accent fail.
Watch it. Just watch it. Then download the soundtrack. And listen to it on repeat. Ahhh.

The seventh day

Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix.
I finished Lord Sunday last night at 1.30 a.m.
;(

If I'm right, I started reading these books in Form 4.
At the moment, it's the very last fantasy book series that I was still hanging on too.
I kinda stopped starting on series fantasy when I finished school. No time.
And now I've finished it.
Hmm feels like the end of an age seriously. :/

The ending was incredible. I cried a little. Haha.
I saw some of it coming, but a lot of it was unexpected.
Reminds me a bit of the Pendragon ending, but unlike MacHale, Nix managed to tie it up without making me freaking confused. Sorry MacHale, I loved Pendragon but the ending was pure WTF.

Also? Amazing thing?
The final page got me shipping a ... brand new couple.
That in itself is a feat, ladies and gentlemen. Shipping on the last page!
Man I want to re-read the series now.
