Finally got to colour this drawing I made more than a month ago. This is Reina, from my
Dime Trap story which is still a work in progress. The story, not the drawing. I'm going to draw Fever real soon.
And, here's a five-minute sketch of a young Rolf. Probably around 14 or 15, about the time when he started becoming a pain in the backside. xD
Anyway, I've finished reading
Sir Thursday by Garth Nix. My favourite of the
Keys to the Kingdom series so far. When I first started reading this series, I lent the books to Tarsha and she pointed out that Arthur, the lead, had a lot more sense in his brain than most other fictional main characters. I re-read the books, and it's TRUE. He actually thinks about things. Before doing them. And the things he worries about are so very realistic. The best part? He's a sweet guy who's humble and does his best, even when he doesn't want to, and he has BACKUP PLANS. And (yes, more
kata hubung) when he gets the power (i.e. the Keys) he actually uses them to their fullest extent (except towards the end of the series, because ... gah, just read the book). Instead of flailing around like a lunatic with no clue what he's doing. The thing about Arthuer is, even when he's flailing like a lunatic, he does it sensibly. xD
If he was older (he's probably around 13 or 14 ... not very clear EDIT: He's 12! Holy CRAP. D: ) I would totally have a fictional crush on him. xD Can't wait to read the next book.
Oh, and in case I don't get to tomorrow,
SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI
Maaf Zahir dan Batin
Have a good one and make sure you don't overload on the food. ;) And happy duit-raya-collecting!
