Keep your mind busy

My initial plan for today was to do something I haven't done in months.
Instead, I ended up doing something I haven't done in months.
Heh.
I shall now call this particular DIY frame kit My Little Pony Antidepressant.
I bought this thing in ... I dunno, December? It's about time I got to making it.

The window. I repainted all the wood they included in the box with acrylics.

The swingset was my favourite part!
They included cloth to sew the cushions with but I messed up and cut it up too small. So I made do by taking an old shirtsleeve and snipping it up. Why yes, I did have an old shirtsleeve lying around. Long story.
Flowers, basket, a tiny book (I love this one) and a mug.

Detail shots.

Time to get a new box! :p

Grape vine

Couldn't resist, I bought another one of these things!
Went to the stall to get the first one framed and bought another one while I was there. Haha. Apparently I've become 'a regular'. Regulars get RM2 discounts. I feel so special. :3

Anyway, spent half Saturday and Sunday finishing this. So all in all I got it done in less than 24 hours. Not counting toilet breaks, buka, sleeping, etc. Not bad. I'm getting faster. Haha.

This one was a nightmare to do. I don't like how it turned out. Senget.

Took the liberty of re-painting the wood pieces. I don't like yellow very much. Oh and full view this one please! I put some little details on the tiny mug. I used some tissue and UHU glue to make coffee foam. Hehe.

The flowers were a joy to do. I wouldn't mind spending all day doing just the flowers.

The background behind the door is actually some old wrapping paper from my 17th birthday. Yes, I'm a packrat. My room is stuffed with odds and ends that don't seem to have much purpose.

Grapes were fiddly, since that the beads were so tiny. Mama gave me some tweezers to work with but I just used my fingers in the end.

So, there you go! Had loads of fun with this. Most definitely getting another one when I go to fetch my first one from the shop. :)

Hypocrites, mutant hamsters and bacteria sex

Today was interesting.
MMH was quieter than usual. The topic was loads more interesting than our previous weeks' so I put it down to that. But I agree when Jov said that talking about it kinda makes me angry. In a dang-I-can't-do-anything-to-fix-it sort of way. Meh what to do.
Jov played around with my phone, so the photo above is the product. Haha.
Also, there was an EXPLOSION in class. Phone charger went kaboom. :O

ECS was also interesting. Eco-cities. :)
Reminded me of the KN class we had in NS. Only then we had to create a country so there was a lot of talk of armies and tourism and agriculture. Heh.

Went to Curve after buka and bought another DIY frame kit. Thinking of doing it tomorrow since that there's no class. Whee.

Oh and click this image above.
It is bacteria porn.

Credits to Sammie for the brainfart. xD

Rose tea shop

My little project of two days.
:)
There's a little stall in Ikano selling these DIY frame thingies. I walked past last week with Mama and I couldn't resist. So tempting. I've got itchy fingers where I don't feel like drawing or writing.
I just feel like putting stuff together.

The box.

Material bag. Sorry for blurry pic.

Painting. :)

Chair, table and menu.

More detail. And a uhm, items to hand ratio of how tiny they are.
My eyes were popping out of my sockets gluing the tiny bits together. Haha.

The cake 'plate' that came with the box is a button!
So damn cute. xD

Random wood and and stuff. Before ...

... and after a lot of painting, glue and cursing every time the pieces wouldn't come together the way I wanted them to.
The flowers and vines were a nightmare.
Oh and that's Hanna in the background.
My little ... watchful elf helper? Lol.

Some detail shots.

I had fun making it.
Gonna go to Ikano soon and buy a frame for it. The stall sells custom-made boxes to house the frames. So cute.
I wanna buy another one!
:D
